FARM TO TABLE CAMP 2025 - WEEKS 1-3
🌱 Farm to Table Camp: An Adventure in Sustainability
Join us for a hands-on journey through the farm ecosystem, where kids become young stewards of the earth! This immersive camp invites children to dig into the dirt, explore the magic of nature, and connect the dots from soil to snack. Through planting, harvesting, nature-inspired crafts, garden games, and even a special fermentation workshop, campers will experience the rhythms of real farm life. With farm-fresh snacks daily and a mocktail mingle to welcome parents, it’s a season of joy, learning, and sustainability for the whole family.
Week 1:
Where does our food begin? In week 1, campers get their hands in the soil as they plant seeds, transplant seedlings, and explore how farms (and nature!) grow the food. Join us for week one or stay for the whole season.
Week 2:
This week is all about the tiny workers who keep our farm ecosystem buzzing. Campers will explore the world of compost & decomposers, pollinators, and teamwork with hands-on activities and exciting team games. We will run a pollination relay race, make nature-based crafts, and even plant a real pollinator garden to support native species. Snack time features farm treats that wouldn’t be possible without these hardworking critters!
Week 3:
It's time to harvest and cook! Campers have spent the last two weeks learning all about where our food comes from and how it grows. Now, campers in week 3 will step into the role of mini farm to table chefs, harvesting ingredients from the farm to prepare simple, nutritious, hands on recipes. The basics of food preservation will be explored with a fermentation workshop, and we will wrap up the day by sharing what we have made over a joyful picnic and games that celebrate how food connects us all. For Children Ages 7-10
